The 2nd Winter Children of Asia Games

In October 2019, the interdepartmental commission for organizing and holding international sports competitions in Russia, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Ms. Olga Yuryevna Golodets, decided to hold the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games in the Kemerovo Region - Kuzbass. On December 19, 2020, the Governor of Kuzbass Mr. Sergey Tsivilev and the President of the Children of Asia International Committee Mr. Vladimir Maksimov signed an agreement on holding the II the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games 2023 in the region.
The 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games were held from February 23 to March 5 in Kuzbass (Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Mezhdurechensk and Tashtagol region). 814 athletes from 12 countries took part in the competition.
In total, 57 sets of awards were played in 10 sports. The leader was the Siberian Federal District - 39 medals (15 gold, 13 silver and 11 bronze), the Moscow team was in second place - 34 medals (15 gold, 9 silver and 10 bronze), the Ural Federal District was in third place - 27 awards (10 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze).
The mascot of the Games was a lynx named Tikhonya. The official logo of the Games is made in the form of a hieroglyph, as a sign of respect for the writing of the Asian cultures. It also resembles an athlete, symbolizing the power of movement. In the hands of the athlete - the logo of the Children of Asia International Committee.
Also, within the framework of the Games, from February 23 to March 3, together with the Russian Olympic Committee, an Climbing Olympus educational program was held. More than 500 young athletes took part in it.
Lectures, games and master classes were attended by lecturers from Children of Asia International Committee, the Russian Olympic Committee, Russian anti-doping association RUSADA, the Association of Sports Psychologists.

Participants and guests of the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games, as well as visitors to the Tomskaya Pisanitsa Museum-Reserve of Kuzbass can make themselves a souvenir coin from aluminum, copper or brass with the symbols of the competitions taking place in Kuzbass.

During the meeting, the athletes shared their memories of participating in the Children of Asia Games, what emotions they experienced during the days of the competition, told what role the project played in their sports career and shared their impressions about the development of the Children of Asia Games.

At the discussion platforms, representatives of the participating countries of the Games discuss the prospects for the development of youth sports in the Asian continent, the role of the Games in strengthening international sports and humanitarian cooperation, adaptive physical education and educational programs for athletes.
