TRAINING AS A WAY TO SUCCESS: UZBEKISTAN YOUNG HOCKEY PLAYERS BEGAN TRAININGS FOR WINTER CHILDREN OF ASIA INTERNATIONAL SPORT GAMES
Young hockey players from Uzbekistan have started training as a part of the educational project of the Children of Asia Games International Committee Kemerovo region-Kuzbass. Athletes are running up for the upcoming 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games to be held in Kemerovo region of the |Russian Federation in 2023.
Training will take place both on the ice and in the gym. Classes are held under the guidance of one of the experienced hockey coaches of Kuzbass – Mr. Artem Reznik, who played for Energy (Kemerovo) and Ufa hockey teams. Except trainings the team will follow special balanced healthy diet five times a day and measured rest. The delegation includes 21 hockey players born in 2007-2008 and two coaches.
Above trainings young athletes will be offered a diverse cultural program. Program includes a visit to museum-reserve “Tomskaya Pisanitsa” in Yashkinsky municipal district and Evgeni Plushenko's Ice Show "Union of Champions", on May 14, 2022 at the Kuzbass Ice Palace in Kemerovo. As per plan the training will last till May 21, 2022. These are the first training in Kuzbass within educational project of the Children of Asia Games International Committee to be held in association with the government of Kemerovo region.
The educational project for the development of winter sports is a unique program that will allow young athletes from Asia to improve their sports skills before the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sport Games.
According to the President of the Children of Asia Games International Committee Mr. Vladimir Maksimov, the implementation of educational projects of the Committee will give a new impact to the development of winter sports throughout the Asian continent. The project will help to expand the geography of participants and attract new countries to engage in and develop winter sports: “The main stage of the educational program is calculated until 2023 - by the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games. Countries are divided into two groups: beginners – countries with no winter sports at all and a group with an initial level of training. One of these teams is a united hockey team of Uzbekistan, which these days is being trained in Kuzbass.”
It is planned to conduct an educational program in 4 sports: snowboarding, skiing, hockey and short track. The arrival of the team from the United Arab Emirates is expected in autumn.
Recall that the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games will be held from February 23 to March 5, 2023 simultaneously in 4 cities of Kemerovo region: Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Mezhdurechensk and Tashtagolsky district. There are ten sports in the competition program. It is expected that about a thousand athletes from Asian countries and regions of Russia will take part.
