Mr. Vladimir Maksimov took part in presentation of the investment opportunities of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia)
President of the Children of Asia International Committee Mr. Vladimir Maksimov spoke at the platform "Arctic - Territory of Dialogue" of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East as part of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
Over 27 years of hosting the Games, more than 15,000 young athletes from 40 foreign countries and regions of Russia have come together. During its existence, the Children of Asia International Committee has established friendly relations with all National Olympic Committees and authorized bodies in the field of youth sports development in the member countries of the Asian Olympic Council.
"Children of Asia," as a Far Eastern sports project, is one of the largest sports and cultural events. In addition to its mission to nurture sports reserves in the regions and countries of Asia, the Games have provided a powerful boost to the development of sports and social infrastructure. Thanks to the Games held in previous years in Yakutia, Sakhalin, and Primorye, the Far East has strengthened its attractiveness for tourism and investment.
In Yakutia, the homeland of the Games, dozens of social and sports facilities have been built and reconstructed over 20 years. Thanks to this legacy of the Games, the region has become one of the most sports-oriented entities not only in the Far East but also in the entire country.
"At present, the Committee not only organizes competitions in summer and winter sports but also promotes training and educational activities, thereby bringing together not only athletes but also authorized bodies of Asian countries responsible for youth sports development. In the coming years, this is one of the promising directions of the Committee's work. For example, during the 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games 2023 in Kuzbass, the Committee launched Climbing Olympus Educational Program aimed at instilling true values of sports in the younger generation, promoting friendship and mutual understanding, zero tolerance for doping, and the fundamentals of sports psychology. About 500 participants from 13 countries joined the project," noted Mr. Vladimir Maksimov.
