TORCH RELAY OF THE GAMES

In addition to the competitive part, an integral part of the Games is the Torch Relay. The Games fire is lit on the territory of the Lena Pillars Natural Park in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of the Russian Federation for the period determined by the Organizing Committee before the Games. The best athletes, sports veterans, respected people, and prominent figures carry it along the route to the venue of the Games opening ceremony.
